Surrounded by the highest peaks of the andes, Santiago is the capital of Chile it is certainly set in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world.
Situated in the Central area of Chile, this modern city is full of the hustle and bustle associated with a large city however the city has managed to preserve it’s colonial architecture. The Plaza das Armas is a prime example of this and can not left unvisited.
There are many things to do in Santiago. The cuisine is diverse and high quality with dishes accompanied by Chile’s world class wines. The city is a perfect platform to launch a trip into Chile.
Close by are the world class ski fields of Valle Nevado and in the plains many of the top Chilean wineries.
Vina del Mar:
The Vina del mar is one of the most famous Chilean beach resorts. The richer cousin of its neighbour Valparaiso it is sandwiched between the cliffs and the sea.
Home to the beach houses of nearby Santiago’s rich and famous; its Mediterranean climate sees very little rain in winter and a warm dry summer. There are many world class beaches with many surfers taking advantage of the regions reasonable waves.
