A thin sliver of a country, Chile is proof that good things really do come in small packages. It is hard to truly comprehend the sheer diversity of this country, unless you have visited. Bordered by the impregnable Andes Mountain range and the Pacific Ocean what lies in between offers a feast for all travelers.

To the North there is the Atacama Desert one of the driest in the world, with its volcanic geysers and huge salt lakes.

In the central region you will find Santiago del Chile the capital, which is towered over by some of the highest mountains of the Andes.

High above Santiago is the best skiing in the Southern Hempisphere, three valleys with the most famous being the resort town of Valle Nevado, whom attract world class skiers and snowboarders in the winter and hikers and horse-riders in the summer.

To the south there is the mystic yet rugged Patagonia. One of the most desolate areas in the world, it is also one of the most beautiful. It is a mixture of glacial lakes and high mountain ranges reaching to the cold artic waters of huge fjords.  A haven for environmental tourism and those who enjoy incredible scenery, there are many trails to hike and horse ride around, great fishing and in the winter skiing.
