The climate ranges from sub-tropical in the North to the sub-Antarctic regions of Tierra del Fuego in the south. Autumn is a nice time to visit Argentina and Buenos Aires can be very pleasant during spring (Sep-Oct).
The currency in Argentina is Peso. ATMs are available in most large cities and most major shops will accept credit cards in these areas, however, it is advisable you carry US Dollar Travellers cheques or small amounts of cash just in case.
Chile is a country of 16 million people where 89% of the population is Roman Catholic. The best seasons to visit Chile are spring (Sept-Nov) and Autumn (Mar-Apr).
Currency in Chile is also peso and as any other South American country other than Brazil, the official language is Spanish.

If you are visiting the Peruvian coast, December to March is the best time of the year as its usually cloudy throughout the winter months. The rest of the country can be visited year round, however, the wettest season is December to April.
While visiting South America, remember not to drink tap water, however, it is fine to wash fruits and hands with it! Make sure you bring a good sun block and light clothes.
And remember - don’t be surprised by the differences between each of the South American regions. They can be very different from city to city, however, there is one extraordinary similarity, their never ending friendliness and beauty!
